May 10th marked LaFrance’s Youth Career Day - our spin on the nationally celebrated “Bring Your Child to Work Day.” This year’s theme was Future Entrepreneurs, a nod to our founder, Joseph A. Teti Jr. His entrepreneurial spirit was the spark that ignited LaFrance almost 80 years ago. This educational and fun-filled event is looked forward to greatly by our employees and their children alike.
Held in our Concordville, Pennsylvania office, Youth Career Day hosted over 50 kids and featured customized programming for a variety of age groups including hands-on STEM science experiments, a music-and-movement concert for our youngest group, a “Shark Tank” style entrepreneur experience for our middle schoolers, and a teen volunteer program for our most veteran participants. Our Healthy Lifestyle Team planned games for our families to enjoy over a healthy and delicious lunch, and of course we balanced that out with a traditional ice cream truck to top off the day!
At LaFrance, we work tirelessly to help brands invest in their on-product branding storytelling – we also drive investment right here at home. Investing in our young minds and honoring our LaFrance family members with events like Youth Career Day, speaks directly to our entrepreneurial roots, our core values, and our innovative approach to excellence in everything we do at our company.
